Niemann, Denmark’s Thorbjørn Olesen, and Japan’s Ryo Hisatsune are all now invited to participate — even though they didn’t officially qualify. Here’s a statement from The Masters:
“The Masters Tournament has a long-standing tradition of inviting leading international players who are not otherwise qualified. Today’s announcement represents the Tournament’s continued commitment towards developing interest in the game of golf across the world. We look forward… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Cannot wait for Augusta! Let’s go!!
Charlie Woods is in for Cognizant Classic Qualifier
If you haven’t heard, the “Honda Classic” is now the “Cognizant Classic”.
Something else you may not have heard? Charlie Woods is attempting to qualify.
First round of qualifying is today. He has to be one of the top 25 players to get to the second round, where only 4 players will get a spot on the PGA Tour event.
If he does it — he’ll be 15 years and 21 days old for his first pro start (according to GolfWeek).
The kid’s got shots, borderline cocky confidence, and mucho experience playing in front of a crowd.
Honestly, it’s good for the game if he makes it in. We hope he does!

Just look at these hole-outs and darts 🎯
The ladies are not playing around in Thailand.
Right now, the Honda LPGA Thailand event is in full swing and there is some amazing golf happening.
Just look at the current leader after round one:

We’ve assembled a few great video highlights from X/Twitter. First up is this dart from Madelene Sagstrom (who’d go on to get an eagle).
🔥🔥🔥
A closing eagle for @msagstrom after a brilliant approach!

This isn’t even all of them! There were other hole-outs and an oh-so-close to a hole-in-one. All in round one. The pros of the LPGA are dialed.
Short Game Shenanigans
Rick Shiels teases his video with Serg on his Twitter/X account with a sweet-looking “halfway house” full of snacks and drinks.
Claire Rogers sits down with Brooks Koepka (with ice cream) on her show “The Scoop” for Golf.com’s YouTube channel.
Meme of the Day
😂😂
Every time.
That’s it for today, golf fan.
A friendly reminder —The Masters is 7 weeks from this morning.
Plus, Charlie teed off in the Cognizant qualifier about 2.5 hours before we sent this email. Excited to see if he can pull it off.
Later gator,
E.
