A close look at the next generation of PGA (or LIV?) Pros.
GM. This is Easy Pars. The golf newsletter that absolutely loved another wholesome golf tournament.
Here’s what we’ve got for you today:
The Woods family steals so much thunder
Viktor is as loyal as he is angry at the PGA
Another LIV win on the DP Tour 👀
Tiger, Charlie and Sam take over the golfing world
Ok, the PNC Championship was adorable. All of the pro parents with their up-and-coming sons was great to watch, after a season of turmoil for the sport.
With so many moments, it’s hard to overlook a few:
The talent we have to look forward to. Kuchar, Woods, Daly, Singh, McGee (Sorenstam’s son). It’s so awesome to see!
Good golf! Charlie bombing a 320 yard drive and chipping in, Kuchar doing similar.
The Tiger effect is noticably switching to the Woods effect. His entire family is a powerhouse of media attention.
321 yards? No problem.
Charlie Woods just drove it OVER the green. 🤯

One thing’s for sure. At the end of this event, Tiger’s work with Charlie, and Charlie’s hard work are both paying off.
Tiger every time he turned around at the PNC Championship:
Viktor is angry, but staying put
Ok, so the biggest PGA players are having to come out and state their intentions.
Call it a defection, betrayal, money-move, or a smart decision - Rahm’s move to LIV Golf is the biggest stir since the inception of the league.
Now, other notable pros (like Finau did, last week) are making where they stand known to the world. But not just on sticking with the PGA. Some many pros are also saying they’re unhappy, albeit loyal.
Brutal takedown of Jay Monahan (and the biased golf media) by the nicest guy in golf.
But Hovland said he "really wasn’t that shocked" to see Rahm leave and blames PGA Tour management for the divide that continues as the entities try to work out a "framework agreement" that… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Take Hovland, for example.
“Just to be clear: I’m not complaining about the position I’m in, and I’m very grateful for everything. But …The management has not done a good job.”
Then my man went deeper, airing some specific dirty laundry of the organization.
“When you then get to see what happens behind closed doors, how the management actually makes decisions, which are not in the players’ best interest, but best for themselves and what they think is best.
He went on and said those making decisions aren’t professional golfers and work with a “great deal of arrogance…"
So, is Hovland’s $$$$ check getting cut? No.
When asked if we can expect a similar defection to Rahm’s, he simply said, “No, I doubt that.”
But never say never, since…
LIV is absolutely owning DP World Tour
Last week we shared how LIV golfers have won 4 of 5 DP World Tour events, this season.
Now, it’s 5 of 6. Insane.
Louis Oosthuizen goes back-to-back 🏆

That includes another pro who’s won two of them!
Louis Oosthuizen won at Alfred Dunhill last week, took a quick flight from South Africa to Bel Ombre, Mauritius and took home back-to-back Ws.
He was asked about this run and said, “The last five weeks I’ve not done a lot with golf, I’ve played a few rounds and when I got to Leopard Creek I was working on a small little thing. I started hitting it really good and I know I’m putting well and then I just carried on with that momentum.”
Did he just pull the, “How did I get an A on the test, I haven’t even studied?”
We think so.
Meme of the Day
😂😂
That’s it for today, golf fan. We’ll be back Thursday with the highlights and a good look at the 2024 season.
