Truth bombs dropped by Hank Haney

Hypothetically speaking, if you have a certain American golf player who recently won a major, and on the last major finished second. It would only make sense for you to invite him to be part of the US team for the Ryder Cup.

Right?

Clearly, said golfer is at the very top of the game right now.

And if you want the best chances of winning, then it would only make sense to include the best players.

Right?!

If it wasn’t obvious, we’re talking about a certain golfer whose name happens to rhyme with Smrooks Chompka. And you’d be insane to not invite him after his clearly top-level performances at both the Masters and PGA Championship.

Well, this logic isn’t really resonating with US team captain Zach Johnson.

In different words, he seemed to imply, “Brooks plays with LIV so I can’t be friends with him.”

Outlaw, Brooks is like:

He was quickly called out by famous golf coach Hank Haney, who in different words said, “It’s silly not to include one of, if not the best, player in the world right now”.

Will team captain Zach Johnson reconsider?

Too soon to tell, but Brooks Koepka’s skills are clearly top-notch right now.

And no matter how much you bury your head in the sand, it's a fact that just can't be ignored.

We’d be careful, ZJ, you ever seen Koepka’s crazy stare? Here’s a look:

Bryson DeChambeau gives credit where credit is due

Winning the PGA Championship while being part of team LIV, it seems, makes things awkward for a lot of people.

It looks like it literally hurts for some people to admit that LIV did get some really good golfers in their league.

The unexpected consequence of it is that Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka, who once had some beef between them, have now squashed it for good.

Bryson was in line to congratulate the newly minted PGA Championship champion.

And in a follow-up statement, he said in different words “he played awesome and his performance deserves respect.” and “We're league buddies and a win for team LIV is tangentially a win for me too.”

Good for you Bryson for being a grown-up and recognizing awesome golf when it's happening right before your eyes.

LIV Golf makes its way to Trump National Golf Club Washington, D.C

LIV’s next tournament starts tomorrow, and as it seems, should be pretty exciting.

Fresh off an amazing performance at the PGA Championship, it will definitely be worth watching who shows up with their A-game.

• Will Brooks Koepka keep on killing it?

• Will Talor Gooch defend his title again? Even after having a not-so-great show at the recent Major.

• Which team will end up taking the $3 million prize?

All good questions.

But we’ll have to tune in to the CW Network to see the live action this weekend.

Scottie Scheffler is scheduled to headline the Charles Schwab Challenge

The good thing about the PGA Tour’s calendar is that there’s always awesome golf.

This week, Scottie Scheffler is showing up at the Charles Schwab Challenge as the highest-ranked player as the world’s number two.

Scottie was on fire during the PGA Championship, where he finished second.

Last year, he didn’t get the W at Charles Schwab, but this year he’s coming in as a clear favorite.

We’ll have to tune in to see just how awesome Scotties plays, or if we’ll see somebody else rising to the top in the star-clad field.
