Good morning golf aficionados. This is Easy Pars, the golf newsletter that goes wild at the WM Phoenix open every year.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open gets trashy.

The Phoenix Open is wild. It's always been a fan favorite.

But sometimes they have too much fun.

The sun is hot, and beered-up fans see the water on the course. Well, some might feel inclined to take a dip to cool themselves off.

Although obvious to many, but not all, this is a bad idea.

So the local authorities had to issue a warning.

I’m paraphrasing, but more or less, the statement went along the lines of “Don’t make us drag you out of the water, or we may have to arrest you.”

Technically not-streaking

Did we mention that some people have way too much fun at the Phoenix Open?

Like this scantly clad guy who decided to run out on the infamous 16th hole and got... friendly with the flagstick.

E was in the stands (on the 16th), catching the whole show in action.

Once satisfied with the applause and cheers from the crowd, he proceeded to evade some of the event staff in an impressive display of cardiovascular fitness.

He was later apprehended by the police and placed into custody.

Oh yeah, and he had a mullet. Not a wig, but a fantastic showing of dark locks.

The WM Phoenix is the real-life Happy Gilmore. Shoutout to Christopher McDonald, whose Birthday is this coming Wednesday.

What did he think of the trash tournament?

That's from his Twitter account yesterday. What's the over/under on whether or not the crowd chanted, "USA! USA!" after the girl finished double-chugging? Here's the tweet to find out.

It's not just about winning, it's about how you win.

Scottie Sheffler did it again at the WM Phoenix Open and won in dominant fashion.

That’s not to say that it was an easy win. Nick Taylor (2nd place) and Jon Rahm (3rd place) were tough opponents throughout the weekend.

But ultimately, with an impressively consistent performance, Sheffler took home the prize.

Nick Taylor showed up with his a-game, but it wasn’t enough to keep up with Sheffler, who took off with a birdie on the 17th hole.

Even though he didn’t win, Taylor got the biggest purse of his career with the $2 million prize.

Sheffler took home $3.6 million and the #1 spot in the tour. Sorry, Rory.

There’s a reason why it's called the US Open.

As you might have heard, the PGA tour and LIV Golf have been battling it out to see who will be the king of the golf hill.

LIV kicked off their offensive by luring some big names from the PGA Tour over to the up-and-coming series.

The PGA tour retaliated by suspending these players.

And as the legal teams of both organizations carry out the battle, a question arises.

Will the LIV golfers be participating in the US Open?

The answer is YES, according to the USGA, which is the entity in charge of the US Open.

Think about it. They would’ve had to change the tournament’s name to “The Almost Open” or to "Phil Mickelson's not allowed club."

That's just not practical.

Instead, they decided to follow their own rules and allow all the eligible LIV players to play in the tournament.

You can expect to see some of your favorite players like Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, and Phil Mickelson out on the pitch.

Ah, just like the good old days.
