Rahm, $3000 ham, and a secret meeting in the Bahamas
GM. This is Easy Pars. The golf newsletter that loves a good Spanish dinner now and then.
Here’s what we’ve got for you today:
Rahm’s menu just dropped
PGA pros meet with PIF leadership…on the course
The best shots, videos, and golf content this week
Each year, the Master’s hosts a dinner for all previous winners. The previous year’s champ gets the honor of choosing the menu.
Last year, Scottie got to put it together. This year? Rahmbo’s turn.
Here’s a look at it:
Black truffle. Acorn-fed Iberian ham ($3k for one of those). But there are also four separate dishes with potatoes.
Don’t hate it, but it sure is different from Scottie’s all-American fare last year.
That said, Scheffler did have tortilla soup alongside his cheeseburger sliders and Texas ribeye.
Some of the X/Twitter comments, about Rahm’s menu, were hilarious:

Honestly, we’re happy to see it. The state of professional golf is what it is. We only want the best in the world to compete together.
If all goes well, we’ll see it in Augusta — hopefully without drama.
Are the players now in charge at the PGA?
Quick, 5-second recap: The PGA started a for-profit org, got billions from sports/entertainment investors, then put a lot of Pros on the board.
Notably, money from the PIF (the organization that started LIV Golf) was not on the list of initial investors in the new PGA.
Things have been relatively quiet on the LIV/PGA merge since…until this past Monday.
Monday, six pros (Tiger and Cantlay included) and Jay Monahan flew to the Bahamas to meet with leaders in the PIF. The meetings, according to reports, went well.
The reason for meeting?
Due diligence in getting more investors into the new PGA entity.
That’s really all we know. If you’d like, here’s a great write-up from NBC:
The best golf content we’ve seen this week
If you’re disappointed in the Valspar field this week, we’ve got some long and short form content we think you’ll love.
This nearly hour-long video of some great golfers playing “musical tees” (the better you play, the further back your tee is on the next hole, and vice versa). Honestly, a great watch we enjoyed.
A hysterical video (warning: a bit of language). Three guys try to eat 3 dozen doughnuts and shoot -5 in 9 holes (scramble). So funny.
Rick Shiels uses AI goggles to perfectly read putts for 8 minutes. Don’t get your hopes up, especially when you hear the price 👀
Meme of the Day
😂😂
Scottie Scheffler commented on Rahm’s Champions Dinner menu saying “I personally love vegetables, so was disappointed in the lack of greens on the menu. It’s fine though. I’ll be getting plenty of green on Sunday from him when he puts that jacket on me.”
