Talor Gooch says Major tournaments without LIV players are tainted

Ok, so Talor Gooch is a good golfer*.

*He’s never finished top 10 in a major tournament.

You may have heard, Gooch told the Australian Golf Digest,

Unfortunately, for Gooch, the facts just don’t play out. There are 12 LIV golfers invited to The Masters. That’s a significant percentage of the entire league.

More, pound for pound, than the PGA itself.

Rory has responded, and is being soooo gracious to the LIV guys (Gooch included). Here’s a video of his response:

Somehow, Gooch’s statement became all about him not being invited, so the asterisk is that Talor isn’t there, lol.

Out of context, like Rory said, but it made for some hilarious memes.

Someone even updated Talor’s Wikipedia page 😂

Anthony Kim’s mysterious return

Monday, we spoke about Anthony Kim’s potential return. Well, a lot has happened in three days.

Just this morning, he’s teed off in LIV’s Jeddah Pro-Am.

How’s it going? He asked for a mully on the first 😂

Honestly, we hope he does well. Good golf is good for the game, no matter where it’s televised.

Rory to LIV?!?!

Remember Rory being nice to LIV guys? It’s been a fairly recent development.

Months ago, McIlroy literally said he hated LIV.

Since the news broke of a potential LIV/PGA merge (that’s still as clear as mud), Rory has shown a softer side.

That side went as soft as silk this week, with him alluding to a potential move to the league!

Bar none, Rory was the most outspoken against LIV.

For him to move, won’t be just another win for LIV, but truly put the PGA in big danger of falling apart at the seams.

Here’s his recent comments, from tweets/posts on X.

When asked if he’s got 17 more years on tour, here’s what McIlroy said himself:

Q: That’s the goal, ten more good years?

Rory: Yeah, yeah. Or a green jacket and walk away.

Sir. That’s exactly what that mountain of a Spaniard, Jon Rahm, just did.
