GM. This is Easy Pars. The golf newsletter that has you shortlisted for our Ryder Cup team.

Here’s what we’ve got for you today:

  • Team USA is locked in!

  • TGL continuing to take shape.

  • Thoughts and Prayers for Gary Woodland.

Team USA is SET!

Team USA Ryder Cup Captain (Zach Johnson) has announced his six “Captain’s picks” for his team. They are………..

  • Sam Burns

  • Rickie Fowler

  • Brooks Koepka

  • Collin Morikawa

  • Jordan Spieth

  • Justin Thomas

They’ll join the ranks with Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay (aka Slowplay), Brian Harman, Max Homa, Xander Shauffele, and Scottie Scheffler!

Team E.U. is full of equally heavy-hitters, but we’re still waiting on the Captain picks there!

A lot, and I mean a lot of people could’ve been picked, from DeChambeau to Finau, and more. Lot of guys had to’ve been disappointed this week.

After not being picked for Team USA:

Tiger’s virtual golf league is shaping up to be pretty awesome

In case you didn’t know, golf’s biggest star decided to create a new golf league as a PGA Tour partner.

But it’s not your typical golf league.

Tiger’s league will use state-of-the-art golf simulation technology which looks amazing and can be played indoors.

This means pro-golf during winter can now be a thing!

Not only does it look amazing in the preliminary renders, but it will also feature 18 of the world's best golfers in its inaugural season.

Rahm, Scheffler, Rory, JT, and Rickie Fowler will be part of it. So we can all rest assured that the talent will be there.

But the most interesting thing is seeing how much attention it’s been getting from investors.

Tiger has welcomed NBA and MLS franchise owners, pro-athletes like Serena and Venus Williams, Stephen Curry, and now NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, just to name a few.

The golf legend has done an amazing job in creating some legitimate hype with his new league and now has pretty much guaranteed that he has all the funding he’ll ever need to take it off the ground.

The arena where it will be played is still under construction and there still aren’t any details on what will be the format.

But we have a hunch it’ll be awesome.

Gary Woodland scheduled for brain surgery

2019 US Open winner Gary Woodland is scheduled to have brain surgery on September 18th, as was shared on his Instagram.

He hasn’t shared many more details, other than the medication wasn’t having the desired effects, so he opted for surgery.

Even though he was battling with his condition, he still managed to get some solid results in the last tournaments he played.

He managed to get a top-30 finish at the Wyndham Championship earlier this month. Which is a testament to his talent and work ethic.

We wish Gary a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in top form soon.
