One shoots an 80, and the other gets their felony charges dropped

Wow.

Yesterday, the likely last turn of Scottie’s arrest happened when Kentucky prosecutors dropped all charges against Scheffler.

Arresting officer, Bryan Gillis, even released a statement.

TBH, it was a great play for him. He has to know a lot of people are itching against police. Then, he had to go and offend a whole lot of people who back the blue by arresting the #1 golfer a few hours before his tee time 😂.

• Telling Scottie in an official PR that “it’s all good” lol

• Alludes to it being a legit arrest and maintaining that he was drug to the ground by the vehicle 🤷‍♂️

Wild, but we’re glad it’s over. Remember Scheffler’s attorney, Steve Romines (and those mutton chops)? He may not be so excited. His response was live and in-person, not in a written statement.

“That’s why you don’t talk to the police.”

To be fair, it was a response to a question about the latest released video, where Scottie was, according to Romines, “interrogated” with “leading questions”.

So, how about our other world #1?

Even though one is scot-free (see what we did there), Nelly Korda is still under the proverbial gun.

Could she, like Scheff, be having a bit of a fall under the weight of the pressure (sans the mug shot)?

Well, she shot 80 in her first round of the U.S. Open.

According to her, “Making a 10 on a par 3 will definitely not do you any good at a U.S. Open.”

Here’s the video of her landing in the water 3X on said par 3. It’s as rough to watch as a 6-putt.

Honestly, she may come back for a phenomenal finish though. Why do we think so?

She went to practice immediately after the round.

That’s champion behavior. She’s only competing against herself.
